I Got Married!

This post is also known as the "more pictures [of Kim and Nate] than you probably care to see". Part One. These are the pictures taken by our photographer. We'll do a Part Two with all the pictures taken by family and friends....there are some good ones.

Turns out it's hard to get a "coming out of the temple" picture. For us at least. This was as good as it got. The other pictures had Nate looking like a crazy man and me appearing to cringe.

Overall, I liked our photographer. She was cute and spunky and had a loud voice (very necessary for large group pictures). She was fairly artistic in her photos of us, which generated some great shots. I do wish we had more pictures of us smiling and looking like the happiest people on the planet that we were. That's more of our natural style. Happy and smiling. She tended to ask for the serious pose a lot. Maybe to make us look sophisticated and elegant? Or help us not look so tired? Here are some good smiling ones.

I waited my entire life to have this picture (and the mountains of meaning behind it).
Both Nate's parents and my parents were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple, so that was kind of special for us.
[sidenote: I kind of wish the sky was blue behind us. To you photoshop wizards, is that possible? And on the scale of 1-10 how hard is it/how long would it take?]

I must say, this cake was one of my favorite things about my wedding. I think it looked perfect (thanks to Mindy and my Aunt Julie!) and it was truly the best cake I have ever tasted. Also, no one forced cake down the other persons throat or smeared it on their face, so that was good.

Aren't these two ADORABLE?! If Nate's nieces and nephews and my nieces and nephews are any indication of how cute our kids will be, I'd say things are looking good. Also, I think we have a good chance of ending up with a red head, which I am totally okay with.

Our photographer did work a small miracle in capturing a photograph of this great woman. I'm so glad she was there.

Don't we drink our water elegantly? I learned everything I know from my mom.

One of my favorite things from my wedding was this family tree wedding picture display my mom put together. It has photos of us, our parents and their parents all on their wedding day. It now hangs in our home and I love it so much. I think it's funny that both Nate's dad and my dad wore white tuxedos on their wedding days. Slightly reassuring that it really must have been a trend, and our dads aren't crazy.

Handsome Nate

I have the most beautiful friends in the world. Seriously, look at this picture! I was so touched that they came to my wedding. I think the world of every single one of these girls and am honored that they would be there.

Just chatting it up with friends. I love the way new husbands play with their wedding rings (as long as the ring stays on the finger....)

Nate's family. My favorite is the stray boy (from my family) to the side.

Nate and I have similar family situations. We're both the middle child of five children, two boys and three girls. And we have the same number of nieces and nephews.

This series melts my heart. Oh, how I love that little girl.
